Controls

Patron controls are as straightforward as they get. You can do everything using the mouse, but using a keyboard + mouse combo is of course faster, and likely more enjoyable.

To move around the map, either use WSAD on the keyboard, press and hold the right mouse button and move the mouse around, or simply move the cursor to the edge of the screen.

To zoom the camera in and out, scroll the mouse wheel.

To rotate the camera, use QE on the keyboard or press and hold the middle mouse button (mouse wheel) and move the mouse left or right.

To interact with objects in the game world or the UI, hover the mouse over them and click the left mouse button.

That pretty much covers the basics. Let's look at some of the more important shortcuts.

• Jobs board - [J]
• Cycle grid - [G]
• Toggle trees rendering [T]
• Research panel - [U]
• Jump camera to the Town center - [H]
• Toggle Annual panel - [O]
• Set time speed - [1][2][3][4]
• Toggle time pause - [Space]

All of the shortcuts above can be remapped, either in the game Launcher or in the in-game options panel.
