All of your citizens need a place to live and rest: a house. Without it, they will get angry (or disillusioned) and leave your city.

STONE HOUSE | TWO STORY HOUSE | ||

While basic accommodations can do the trick, there are some key elements to look out for:
- Citizens won't live in Shelters long-term. After awhile, those living in a Shelter will start to nag about housing
- Peasants and Laborers are quite happy to live in wooden Houses
- Merchants will not be happy with anything below a Stone house
- Gentry want Two-story houses. Nothing less will suffice
Having a house in general and subsequently what kind of house a citizen directly impacts the housing social issue. Be mindful of this as your city flourishes and your citizen move up the social ladder.
